The Mysterious Petroglyphs of Safe Harbor
At 2:00, Adam Zurn, founder of Uncharted Lancaster, talks about his journeys down the lower Susquehanna River to explore the mysterious Native American petroglyphs hidden on the rocks at Safe Harbor. These 1,000-year-old rock carvings represent the oldest man-made artifacts in Lancaster County and one of the most significant archeological sites in the northeastern United States. Zurn will discuss their possible meanings and share local legends of the pictographs.
We will also have free tours of our railroad station (except during the presentation), model train display, and free trolley rides (weather permitting)
