SUMMARY:Bus Tour - Fells Point & Ellicott City\, MD
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our annual St. Patrick's Day bus tour.\n\nMarch 12\, 2022 - Bus Departs Willow Street\, Lancaster & York\, PA\n\n\n\nThis year we will kick off our St. Patrick's Day tour in Fells Point\, MD. The area features many shops\, including antique stores\, restaurants\, coffee bars\, and over 120 pubs. Located just east of the famous "Inner Harbor" Fells Point has a maritime past and the air of a seafaring town. It also has the greatest concentration of drinking establishments and restaurants in the city.\n\n \n\nMid-afternoon we depart for Ellicott City\, MD. Historic Main Street is home to 70+ shops\, restaurants\, galleries and museums - all independently owned. It is an old mill town that was established before the United States. It is also home to the first train stop of the original 13 miles of railroad in the United States. The B&O - Ellicott City Station is now a museum but the tracks are still used to connect directly into Baltimore. In terms of walkability\, Main Street is hilly\, but you can get from one end to the other in about 10-15 minutes. Towards the bottom of the hill\, near the B&O museum\, there is a beautiful scenic view of the Patapsco River. Each independent shop is unique in its own way that you have to stop by to check out each one in addition to the story. Unfortunately\, Historic Ellicott City has received the most press coverage for 2 - once in a lifetime devastating floods - one in 2016 and then again in 2018. Some shops and storefronts have changed\, but many are still there. Their resiliency is part of the story for each small business owner. \n\n \n\nTour includes: Round Trip Deluxe Motorcoach transportation\, Time on your own in Fells Point & Ellicott City\, MD. Water and Snacks on Motorcoach\, Experienced and Knowledgeable Tour Representative\, and all Taxes.
